Following the successful staged reading at Pacific Theatre in 2009, PFT has been invited by Rumble Productions and the Vancouver East Cultural Centre to mount a fully-realized production of Stephen Adly Guirgis’ mind-bending play. The production will be a part of the VECC’s 2012 season, will open Rumble’s Tremor’s Festival and will have production support from NeWorld Theatre and Pacific Theatre
Building on the studio production at Douglas College in 2009, PFT will develop a professional production of this new adaptation of Hamlet. Condensed and edited for 5 actors, this version of the story focuses on the domestic family and their struggle to hold it together in a contemporary environment.
(Production title TBA) Set for production in 2013, this new adaptation of Shakespeare’s problem play will be co-developed and co-produced by Pacific Theatre. The adaptation will be truncated and edited to accommodate 4 or 5 actors.
Production date TBA, this new one-man adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello will tell the story from the perspective of the villain – after he has been incarcerated.
