Stephen was trained as an actor at Memorial University's Sir Wilfred Grenfell College where he received a BFA in Acting. For two years he was an Associate Director for Theatre Newfoundland Labrador (Romeo & Juliet, Of the Fields Lately, East O' the Sun & West O' the Moon) and later taught at the Neptune Theatre School in Halifax.
He attended UBC's Theatre Program and received an MFA in Directing (The Creation - thesis production). Since then he regularly returns to Memorial as a visiting assistant professor/director (The Taming of the Shrew, Sam's Shorts, Picnic), has assistant directed at the Stratford Festival (King John) and conducted new play development workshops at Playwright's Theatre Centre in Vancouver.
Other favourite directing credits include Skydive (co-directed with Roy Surette for Realwheels) for which he received a Jessie Richardson Award for Outstanding Direction; A Midsummer Night's Dream (Acting Up Entertainment, Gander); The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine, See Bob Run, Wild Abandon (Bare Boards Theatre, Corner Brook); Oedipus the King (Douglas College, New Westminster) and Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Guild Theatre, Whitehorse). Upcoming projects include Politiko (Ghost River Theatre, Calgary), Orphans (WINK Theatre) and a directing/teaching residency with his alma mater in Harlow, UK. He is the recipient of the 2007 Ray Michael Award for Outstanding Body of Work by an Emerging Director.

Jennifer has worked in Vancouver Theatre since 2000 in a variety of Production positions such as Producer, Production Manager, FOH Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, Development Coordinator and Production Assistant for various Companies some of which include: UpintheAir Theatre Society, NeWorld Theatre Company, Ensemble Theatre Company, Meta.for Theatre, Theatre Terrific, Spin Cycle Film & Theatre Society and The Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company.
In 2003, Jenn saw Pericles, Prince of Tyre - Shakespeare with Pirates, scary masks, music and a rocking boat - and loved it! Her next such joy with Shakespeare was The Bond (adapted by Stephen Drover) by the Pound of Flesh Equity Co-op in 2005 - this production proved that Shakespeare didn't have to be long and drawn out to be enjoyed (the play ran 75 min. with no intermission) was nominated for 7 Jessie Awards and won 2. In August of 2005 Stephen Drover asked her to be GM for PFT and the rest is happening now….

Andrew graduated from Memorial University in 1998 with a BFA in Acting. Before moving to Vancouver a year ago, he worked extensively in Newfoundland theatre and film. He was a member of Theatre Newfoundland Labrador's founding company at the Gros Morne Theatre Festival where he also directed Neddy Norris Nights. In 2003 he co-founded The Company in St. John's and co-produced and acted in Michel Marc-Bouchard's Down Dangerous Passes Road. He was Theatre Coordinator and performer at the Nickel Film Festival and acted at the Trinity Festival (Garland House, directed by Bill Glassco). In Vancouver he has participated in several new play development workshops at Playwrights Theatre Centre; toured all over BC with Carousel Theatre TYA show The BIG League playing Tommy and is working steadily in the busy Film Industry.
Favourite acting credits include Macduff in Macbeth, Julien in The Misanthrope, Gus in The Dumb Waiter (MUN), Sam in Wedgie (Upintheair Theatre), Frank in Never Swim Alone (First Light Productions). Film credits: Joe Vincent in Random Passage, Mike Seaward in Swallowed, Nurse in Behind the Red Door, and various roles on the now defunct sieved.com.

Lawrence Haegert has worked across Canada as an actor, singer, dancer, clown, and writer. Some of the theatres he's worked with include Theatre Newfoundland Labrador, Neptune Theatre, The Atlantic Theatre Festival, and The Stratford Festival of Canada.
Some of the favorite roles he has played are the title character in Macbeth, Andrei in The Three Sisters, Charley in Charley's Aunt, Florizel in The Winter's Tale, Jack in Into the Woods, and the one-man show Woody, directed by Stephen Drover.
He's trained at the National Ballet School of Canada, recieved a B.F.A. from Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, and has a recently completed the Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Training at the Stratford Festival.
Pound of Flesh is an idea that has been dreamed of long before it came into being, and Lawrence is thrilled to share that with his fellow theatre warriors Stephen and Andrew, as well as the audiences who come to see their work! |
